The Wolf-Fang Clan

The story of The Wolf-Fang Clan is not a complicated one. It begins with a baby born under a black sun, never given a proper name by the parents that abandoned him, raised by his Wolf Mother K'hya who was actually an Abyssal beast displaced in the Dawnlands like most of the people there. A child considered to be an omen of evil by its own people and raised by the beasts that were intended to eat it lives on to become a king in his own right….. that's the stuff of a classic fairytale. As could be expected when a young man returns home to his den after a day of hunting to find the only family he knew slaughtered (which could generously be called a pack of wolves, and more accurately be referred to as hyper-intelligent hell hounds) he was filled with a violent rage. He poured out that rage on the hunters that did the deed and then set out into the world on his own. 

At first he was aimless, but he encountered a small folk in Aquitania that helped ground him and help him find a purpose. Ariel Piper Wanderfoot was a bard that was swept overboard during a torrential storm and washed up on the shores of Aquitania. She had been traveling the world herself with something of a found family in the form of a pirate crew Captained by Elijah Aurelius Black. Captain Black had provided lodging, protection, and treasure in exchange for the little lass's songs and stories during the long stretches at sea. The two, and the whole crew actually, formed a powerful friendship that Ariel had been feeling a bit lost without since she had been carried away by the storm. These two lost wanderers found each other wandering the edges of Aquitania. Dakken rescued her from a band of cut-purses and she helped him navigate a society he was largely unfamiliar with. They developed a friendship and then a love that led them to start their own pack, The Wolf-Fang Clan, taking in other lost souls just as Dakken had been taken in by K'hya. Their tendency to take lost foundlings regardless of background or origin earned them the titles of the Orphan King and Queen. The principles of their pack were some of the most important lessons Dakken had been taught by his Wolf Mother:
