After the Pirates Plunder event we feel that it would be best to issues some rules updates, reminders, clarifications and whatnot. Clarification : Dagger, Knife, Rapier, and Shortsword can be used by Rogues and others with that ability to perform the backstab strike. If a player is able to use one of those weapons but cannot perform backstabs then they cannot backstab with that weapon. Certain classes can use archery in combat. The use of archery is limited to players within those classes and only pre-approved archery weapons and ammunition may be used. Players may never target the head or face with arrows or thrown weapons, even if the target player is wearing a helmet. All players that use projectiles are required to pick them up after each encounter or quest. Bows and crossbows should avoid being hit by opponents and should never be used as melee weapons
