Rules Clarifications, Reminders, and updates Updates
After the Pirates Plunder event we feel that it would be best to issues some rules updates, reminders, clarifications and whatnot. Clarification : Dagger, Knife, Rapier, and Shortsword can be used by Rogues and others with that ability to perform the backstab strike. If a player is able to use one of those weapons but cannot perform backstabs then they cannot backstab with that weapon. Updated Archery Rules
Certain classes can use archery in combat. The use of archery is limited to players within those classes and only pre-approved archery weapons and ammunition may be used. Players may never target the head or face with arrows or thrown weapons, even if the target player is wearing a helmet. All players that use projectiles are required to pick them up after each encounter or quest. Bows and crossbows should avoid being hit by opponents and should never be used as melee weapons

Armor in the Dawn Lands LARP
Armor Armor works as “Damage Reduction” this is known as ARMOR PROTECTION RATING (or APR for short) . It does not add to hit points but instead takes away damage from attacks. For example, if you are wearing Level 2 armor (which negates 2 points of damage) and are hit for 4 points of damage the resulting damage you take is now a loss of two Hit Points . There are three levels of armor, each provides a higher level of “Damage Reduction”. Player Fred is struck for 4 points
