Aryellas Darkbloom

Fae, trickster, rogue, bar maid, and baker, this rogue has become known for her shenanigans' as well as her beauty. She is often found in taverns hiring adventurers for quests, playing tricks on the locals, or relieving rich nobles of unneeded wealth.

Aryellas grew up in a forest, inhabited by gnomes and various fey creatures who preferred to stay hidden from the eyes of humans, elves, and orcs. Instead the gnomes made their alliances with unicorns, dryads, and sprites. Each spring, this gnome community of druids would renew their pact with the other inhabitants of the forest by presenting a Maiden of the Fields, who spends an entire day and night with a Father of the Hunt, chosen among the fae folk. Some priestesses, like her mother, are blessed with a child afterwards - the children from this ritual are known as trixies, a melding of gnome and pixie clans. These trixies are the chosen of Mother Nature, embodying all that is good about both gnomes and pixies and are greatly honored within their home communities. They aren’t considered to be better, but they are a representation of the miracle of life that these forest gnomes hold so dear.

Due to Aryellas’ gnome heritage, she has a rounder frame than most pixies, making her look like a small and buxom human with dragonfly wings. She tends to be cheerful and spent a lot of her youth composing poems, flying through the woodlands, and keeping company with good friends. She loves the sounds of laughter and songs and is drawn to the celebration of others. Just like most gnomes, she has a love of humor and practical jokes, but only those that do not harm or belittle others.

She hates to dwell on dark or depressing subjects and often pretends not to understand a threat rather than brood on problems she cannot solve, which can be misunderstood as stupidity. Aryellas can get herself into an amazing amount of trouble because she is too curious and loves to explore her surroundings. She does have a tendency to ignore serious warnings, resulting in a well-deserved reputation for being a troublemaker and a danger magnet.

She has always been curious, empathetic, and clever - which has often led her to be

involved with the difficulties of others, especially after she left home, the lure of traveling to new places and meeting new people was too powerful to resist. It is very hard for her to leave someone in trouble without at least trying to help in some way. Like other trixies, Aryellas can feel the pain of others too easily to be evil or even neutral. She can’t help but to care for those around her. She has often helped her friends and allies during their many adventures and is unimpressed with laws or traditions that cause someone pain or suffering. Within her adventuring party, she can either take on the role of scout or rogue, having fun with both.

She is a bit of a Hedonist, and needs to have fun and adventure, or shineys and treats, in her life daily, or even hourly, or she becomes depressed and unmotivated.

Social Contacts & Relations

She keeps and takes care of many orphans that work for her at the Bakery. She teaches them in skills that they will need in life. The only downside is that, being fae, she doesn't understand proper nutrition for young mortal children. It is due to this fact that she feeds them mostly cakes, pies, and other sweets. So many children under her care have taken to visiting the local taverns and temples to acquire "non fairy" food.

Wealth & Financial state

Aryellas owns a bakery and catering service located in the Valley of Broken dreams, but no one is able to discern if she actually makes, or at least keeps, any money from this.
