A Blood-binder is a living anchor of raw vitality, a priestess who serves as a direct

conduit for Ranessa, the great Red Moon and Mother of All. In the theology of the Seven Moons, Ranessa is the eternal matriarch who birthed the rest of the pantheon through profound self-sacrifice, giving up her own flesh and cosmic vitality to kindle the fires of creation. Mirroring their divine mother, Blood-binders do not draw upon abstract holy light or distant, detached magic. Instead, they interact with the visceral, tangible building blocks of existence: blood, birth, and physical growth. Draped in crimson vestments and carrying the heavy burden of their faith, these priestesses see all living things as part of a single, interconnected flock that must be fiercely nurtured and protected from premature decay.
Allowed Cultures: The unconditional grace of the Mother of All knows no borders; Ranessa welcomes children from every corner of the world into her embrace, and therefore no culture is excluded from becoming a Blood-binder. However, the worship of the Red Moon is deeply rooted in the history and traditions of the people of the Dawn Lander culture, and it is almost exclusively players from this culture who take up her sacred mantle.
Conversely, a strict spiritual divide exists regarding the followers of the Dark Lady. Because the Dark Lady’s tenets of corruption and decay stand in direct opposition to Ranessa's domain of birth and vibrant growth, her followers are strictly prohibited from worshiping the Red Moon. Any devotee of the Dark Lady foolish enough to stray into Ranessa's faith would face immediate, harrowing punishment from the Dark Lady herself, who fiercely guards her flock from the purifying warmth of the Mother’s light.
Playing the Priestess of Ranessa
On the battlefield, a Blood-binder is a formidable, central presence who walks the fine line between creation and destruction. They are the ultimate protectors, willing to physically tie their own life force to their companions using sacred red tethers to absorb wounds and bear the agony of others. They teach that true strength is forged in sacrifice, and that out of the shedding of blood comes the potential for miraculous new growth. Whether they are performing battlefield triage, siphoning the vital essence from aggressors to sustain their allies, or calling down the blinding, radiant grace of the Red Moon itself, the Blood-binder ensures that the cycles of life and renewal continue uninterrupted, serving as both a tender mother and a fierce guardian to the faithful across the Dawn Lands.
Abilities
Armor Allowed: None
Weapons Allowed: Dagger, Knife, Rapier, and Longsword.
Level 1
Title: Crimson Celebrant
Blooded Weapons: If the Blood Binder player receives the ability to use weapons from their culture selection they may not use any ranged weapons and can only use melee weapons that can cut and bring forth blood. They can however use a rapier.
Labor of Love: You channel the grueling endurance of a mother bringing forth new life, pushing through absolute physical agony to shield those under your care. When a nearby ally is struck by a physical attack or spell that would damage them, you may instantly interject by calling out: “Labor of Love!”. Through sheer spiritual willpower, you completely cancel the incoming effect, saving the target from its consequences. However, mirroring the physical toll of birth, the immense strain immediately causes you to take 2 points of damage. This ability cannot be used if taking the damage would reduce you to 0 Hit Points. This ability can be used up to six times per day (6x day) and can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.
Divine Scroll Training: You can use Divine scrolls.
Level 2
The Crimson Thread: You weave a literal and spiritual tether between your own lifeforce and an ally. To activate this ability, you must physically hand a long red ribbon or rope (5–10 feet in length) to another player in your party. As long as both you and the target player maintain physical contact with this red prop, the tether remains actively in effect. Whenever that specific ally takes damage. The ally completely ignores the incoming damage, and you take that exact amount of damage directly to your own HP instead. The link terminates immediately if either player drops their end of the ribbon, if the distance between you stretches past the rope's length, or if you voluntarily choose to end the connection early. You cannot use this ability if taking the damage would reduce you to 0 Hit Points. This ability can be used up to three times per day (3x day) and can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity. It may only be used on one ally at a time.
Perfect Blood: Your blood becomes so pure and vibrant that you are entirely immune to all mundane diseases, magical plagues, and biological poisons.

Level 4
Perpetual Bloom: Your deep connection to the Goddess of Growth permanently alters your physical form, saturating your flesh with the boundless vitality of Ranessa. You permanently gain +2 maximum Hit Points, and your body becomes a natural font of cellular regeneration. Whenever you are resting safely out of combat, your physical wounds knit together naturally without requiring surgery or magical healing, restoring 1 lost Hit Point every three (3) minutes. This only works if you are resting, traveling (walking) does not count as resting.
Mass Heal: This ability can be used during or outside of combat. Each member of your party, including yourself, is healed for 1 HP. This ability must be called out. This does not work on players already reduced to 0 HP. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day) and can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.
Level 5
Improved Perfect Blood: In addition to the benefits of the Perfect Blood ability you are now also immune to the bites of vampires (and similar creatures). The effects of the ability goes further in that your blood can now damage vampires and acts as holy water. In game terms this can be played out by taking one point of damage to create a small container of blood (Holy Water). This can be used by others as a Holy blast. This can be performed up to six times per day (6x/day) but keep in mind that you lose HP every time this ability is used. This may be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.

Level 7
Lunar Midwife : You now gain the rank and title of Lunar Midwife. You now gain the ability of Soul Speaker: You can communicate with ghosts.
The Red Feast: You siphon blood directly from an aggressor and transfer it to a member of your party. To activate this miracle, you must land a successful melee weapon strike on an enemy and call out “Red Feast!”. You then note the total amount of damage dealt by that specific blow. If you do no damage then the ability is negated and used up (it counts against your daily use). Then immediately place that same weapon on a nearby ally, you transfer that exact amount of siphoned blood to them, instantly restoring their health by that much HP. You cannot use this ability on yourself. Once blood is drawn using this ability it must be given to an ally before the end of the current encounter, battle, or duel. This ability has no effect when striking bloodless entities such as mindless undead or constructs (such as Steinsal). This ability can be used up to three times per day (3x/day) but can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.
Level 8
Vessel of the First Breath: You manifest the ultimate mystery of birth, pulling a fallen soul back across the veil and granting them a completely clean slate. By kneeling beside a player who has died or is completely bleeding out, you perform a 30-second ritual of cradling their head, concluding with the call: “From the Mother, Take Your First Breath! Resurrect!” The target is immediately brought back to life, restored to full maximum Hit Points with all of their physical armor fully repaired as if they were just born into the world anew. Because this miracle demands an incredible divine exchange, you lose the ability to make any attacks until the end of your next encounter, battle, or duel. This ability can be used up to three timers per day (3x day) but can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.

Level 10
Crimson Oracle : Gain the rank and title of Crimson Oracle. You may now use Spirit Scrolls.
The Ultimate Offering: You enact the supreme tenet of Ranessa’s faith, willingly scattering your own life force to fuel a devastating miracle of mass renewal on the battlefield. By raising your arms to the sky, you call out: “Behold the Mother's Sacrifice!”. Upon making this call, your own physical health instantly drops down to exactly 1 Hit Point, regardless of how much health you previously had. In exchange for this profound blood offering, a wave of life force expands outward from your position. Every dead or within 10 paces of you is instantly resurrected at 1 HP, while every living ally within that same 10-pace radius is immediately healed for 3 Hit Points. Simultaneously, any nearby undead, demons, devils, or evil monsters within the radius is completely blinded by the sudden surge of vital energy, forcing them to immediately turn and flee from your presence for a count of 10. Because this miracle completely drains your biological reserves, you cannot use this ability if your health is already at 1 Hit Point, and you cannot be healed past your current 1 Hit Point baseline by any means until after you return to a temple. This ability can be used once per day but can be renewed at a holy area or temple of the Seven Moons or an allied mother deity.
