Character Death and Ghosts

When your character’s HP drops to 0 or less, then your character is dead. First, please make sure you are in a safe position. Then, call out your death. You may roleplay your death as dramatically as you wish, and either fall prone on the ground or raise both hands (and/or weapons) above and behind your head.
Don’t worry, you won't lose your character. Upon your death, you become a ghost. Since dead bodies cannot transport themselves, you will need an alive player character to escort you to a healer (or a scroll or spell which allows you to travel as a ghost.) If your entire adventuring party dies, you must all travel together directly to a healer.
While dead, you will not earn rewards for quests your party completes, and you cannot interact with anyone who does not have the ability to speak to ghosts. Ghosts may not interact with other ghosts except to confirm that they are dead. The only player classes that can speak with ghosts are usually the Necromancers, Battle Clerics, high level Monks, Oracles, and Hedge Witches. There are some NPCs, such as priests and healers that may also speak with ghosts. Administration, Loremasters, Guards, and merchants can always speak to ghosts. Even quest-givers who can speak with ghosts will not reward a character who died before the quest was completed. You may choose to remain a ghost as long as you like by wearing a white sash.
To be restored to life, speak with a healer (such as a priestess of the Temple of Seven Moons). Healers can only perform their abilities in town or another designated non-combat location. They can restore a ghost to 1 HP (for a price). They may also heal you up to your maximum HP (for an additional price). Once you are resurrected, you are no longer a ghost and can travel under your own power and interact normally.
Spectators are also referred to as ghosts, and follow the same rules except they cannot be restored to life. They are still not players though.
