The online Character Maker is finally ready for y'all to test out!
My hope with this tool is that it makes building a character a lot easier and more accessible than digging through the rulebooks or messing with spreadsheets.
Here are a few quick things to keep in mind:
XP and RP Tracking: The character builder is just for creating and drafting your hero. We are still keeping track of all your official Experience Points (XP) and Royalty Points (RP) in our main master spreadsheet database. Admin will log all your rewards there after every event like we always do.
The Soul-Compass System: You’ll see the new Soul-Compass options on the builder where you can pick your Core Drive (Altruistic, Pragmatic, or Selfish) and your Big Five traits. Remember, this is completely optional in play. It’s just there as a fun tool to give you roleplay triggers if you want to use it, not something meant to lock you in or restrict how you play out on the field.
Known Bugs: We wanted to get this out to y'all as soon as possible so you could start playing around with it. Also remember, I am not a professional programmer, so ya know. All that means there are still a couple of minor bugs I'm ironing out:
The final summary page currently doesn't list out the exact text for your individual Soul-Compass traits (even though it still saves your Core Drive).
Printing or exporting your finished sheet might spit out a couple of extra blank pages depending on what browser you use.
Catch Any Other Glitches? If y'all run into any other bugs, spot a rule error (like a class having access to armor or weapons they shouldn't have), or have ideas to make it better, please let us know! Drop a message in our community channels or reach out to admin directly so we can fix it.
If this character maker works out we will delete/restrict access to the old one.
