I nîdh de Varis (The Will of Varis)

Sacred Item: For the household known as Grove of Yggdrasil from the Royalty System Perks.

Backstory

Once the sword of an elven ranger named Varis who guarded the portal in the Elven Woods. After a surprise orc raid that resulted in the death of Varis and the rest of his company alongside the orc raiding party, it was brought back to his hometown of Shylenshara.

From there it was kept by his parents as a symbol of his sacrifice, but years later it was given to Kenear as he began his journey to Myrefall as a way to remember his roots. Throughout his years at the Emerald Folk college and his adventures the sword has absorbed magical energies from Kenear and now acts as a conduit for arcane power, allowing him or others to imbue magical essence into it which can be released by the wielder at will. It is even thought to carry Varis’ will to protect others, and fight against evil.
