News from one of the lesser barbarian tribes has reached our ears. Multiple reports have confirmed a vampire outbreak in the city known as “Lullin” (Known as New Iuvavum on civilized maps) of the peoples that call themselves the “Emerald Folk”. Said reports confirm the death of at least one honorable dwarf, and an unknown number of barbarians and other undesirables.

The barbarians failed to heed our advice and follow our ways, and as such, the undead scourge was allowed to fester and proliferate, tainting the land with their filth. Credible reports confirm recent undead sightings and probable attacks as far as the outer reaches of the Kingdom of Norheim. Merchants, Travelers, and all other Servants of the Empire are warned to take heed and prepare the proper precautions befitting civilized folk.

Our people will be dealing with the after-effects of this mess for years, and it is further proof, as if more was ever required, of the absolute need to bring the rest of this world under the purview of our glorious Empire. Our very safety demands it.
