What am I supposed to bring to these things?

Updated: Dec 2, 2023

So you wanna adventure for the whole weekend, huh? Me too! That does require packing things though, so maybe I can help you decide what to bring. Onward! Stuff to keep you from being stinky! Ask yourself: Self, what are you going to need to keep you clean?

Toiletries aka Hygiene Items: dry shampoo, shampoo/conditioner, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, toothbrush and toothpaste, feminine products. Towel - never leave home without it. Clothing/Wearables Extra socks, boots, and underwear. If it rains while you’re adventuring in the great outdoors, your feet will probably get wet. Do you know what you can’t do with squeaky wet socks and boots? That’s right, sneak. No backstab for you! Extra outfit to be kept in your vehicle. Just in case your tent floods. (it has happened, not to me mind you…) Costume (kit), accessories, props. Anything you need for your character, like spell packets. Character props: wings, jewelry, scars, prosthetics, glasses, ears….anything you need to help make your character stand out. Armor, Weapons, Repair materials. Duct tape is a lifesaver. Small pouch to keep in your tent to house items like your cellphone, id, keys, and wallet. Gloves Consider bringing multiple fighting outfits. I can’t imagine wearing dirty/stinky clothes being fun…for you or those around you. Oh and makeup along with remover and a mirror for application! Apothecary Items First Aid Kit (just with the essentials) Sunscreen Bug spray. Unless you like bug bites, then you do you. Sunscreen. The sun hurtses us, precious. Medications Aloe vera Ibuprofen or aspirin Allergy stuffs Lotion Anti-Itch Cream Baby wipes/wet wipes in case you get dirty! Lodging Items/Stuff for Camp Musical instruments…you’ll probably make friends this way. Just don't roll a 1 please. Hand warmers Lantern…points for atmosphere! Candles Feast Gear and a basket to keep it in: cup, bowl, plate, eating utensils, napkin, placemat.

Something to sit on - if you have a camping chair, bring a blanket to throw over it. Banner to let people know who you are! Garbage bags…not for bodies, but for trash. Sewing kit Sleeping bags/blankets Furs (I always bring a caribou pelt to keep the cold away, but they make fancy chair covers, or you can use them to sit on the ground) Cot or blow up mattress. Don’t forget the pump for it! Tent heater Portable charger Flashlight or headlamp Extra batteries Cooler Single burner propane stove, unless you know how to cook over your campfire! Kettle to boil water for your tea and coffee Portable Fan Dice/Knuckle Bones/Card Game/Tarot

Food and Drink - meals and drinks are typically available at the Dragons Den Tavern, but it’s a good idea to have your own snacks. Bring those energy drinks tho. Maybe alcohol if permissible (which it is in the town of Slyvanus). Did I mention snacks? It’s also a good idea to have extra water bottles to keep in your tent.

If you can think of anything else, feel free to comment below! I can’t think of everything, but I try.
