Dawn Lands LARP: Crafting Challenge 25/26

In the unforgiving cold of Hrimnir, Festiva, Frostia, and Verdalia, survival relies on skill, planning, and preparedness. A true survivor doesn't just fight; they build, they mend, and they improve their means of survival. This challenge encourages you to create a tangible, practical item that enhances your character's immersion, your household's defense, or another player's kit.

You must design and create one (1) physical, LARP-appropriate item that fits one of the following categories:

• Personal Gear: A new piece of kit for your character (e.g., a specific pouch, a tailored cloak, a leather bracer, a custom coin purse).

• Household/Campsite Enhancement: An item that improves your group's area (e.g., a hand-painted banner, an organizational chest, a unique candle holder, a wooden sign).

• Gift to Another Player: A crafted gift specifically made for another PC (e.g., a commissioned piece of jewelry, a mended garment, a carved utensil).

The challenge runs for two months, requiring commitment and planning:

• Start Date (Declaration): December 1st, 2025

• End Date (Final Submission): January 31st, 2026

To successfully earn the 1 XP, you must complete all three steps by the deadline:

1. Declaration of Intent (The Start): Between December 1st and December 24th, post a message in the designated Discord XP Challenge channel OR the Facebook Chat clearly declaring:

   • What you are making (e.g., "I will craft a hooded wool cloak").

   • Who it is for (myself, my household, or a specific player).

2. Proof of Commencement (The Mid-Point): Immediately after your declaration, post one (1) photograph showing the start of your project (e.g., fabric cut, leather pieces laid out, a pile of raw materials, or a tool setup).

3. Proof of Completion (The End): By the final deadline of January 31st, 2026, post one (1) clear photograph of the fully completed, finished item.
