The Quest: Culinary Lore of the Dawn Lands

The Winter Event demands more than just sharp steel; it requires nourishment, warmth, and the preservation of culture. This challenge calls upon the artisans, cooks, hunters, brewers, and bakers of Dawn Lands to immortalize a piece of their character's heritage in a tangible, edible form.

This is a one-time submission challenge. You must complete and submit your entry by the end of the challenge period on January 31, 2026.

Your Assignment: A Single Masterpiece

Participants must create one complete fantasy/medieval-style recipe that is directly tied to their character or culture within the Dawn Lands. The submission must contain three crucial elements:

1. The Recipe: The Ingredients of Legend

Provide a clear, step-by-step recipe for either a food or a drink.
The ingredients and methods must feel LARP-appropriate and medieval-inspired (little or no modern processed foods). Focus on raw ingredients, spices, meats, grains, and period-style preparation techniques.

2. The Backstory: From the Mouths of Ancients

Write a short, engaging, and immersive tale (no less than 100 words) that describes the origins of the dish or drink.
This tale must explain who created it (a famous ancestor, a long-lost tribe, or the character themselves), where it is typically found in the Dawn Lands, and why (and if) it is important (e.g., a ceremonial feast dish, a warrior's high-protein ration, a healing poultice, a potent ale, common folk food, or something else).

3. Visual Proof: The Finished Product

Submit a photograph of the final, prepared product. This is crucial evidence of the Trial's completion. The presentation should reflect the fantasy nature of the dish!
